Why Circuit Training?

Tonight FitCampers we will be doing some Circuit training!

Circuit training is a great workout. You can use it for weight loss, toning up, building muscle, it's also a great social workout and an effective way to push yourself - especially in a group environment.

Each station, will have a different workout, using power movements, body weight and free weights for muscular endurance and cardiovascular training.

Cardiovascular training improves your body’s respiratory system as well as improve muscular function and strength.

Improving your body’s respiratory system, such as your maximal aerobic capacity (VO2 Max), can increase aerobic fitness and allow yourself to exercise for longer or at the same level more easily. As the heart becomes stronger it increases the stroke volume (the amount of blood pumped per beat); which therefore reduces the beats per minute, reducing the heart rate.

Muscular endurance provides energy efficiency through muscular activity for a prolonged period of time compared to movements requiring short bursts of power.

Tonight we'll have number of stations set up for you to work through, all you need to do is turn up, push as hard as you can and then move on to the next one.
