AJFitness Terms and Conditions Policy

Class participation

Physical exercise can be strenuous and subject to risk and injury.

 

Our sessions will include muscular strength, flexibility and endurance activities. As with any exercises, risk and discomforts may occur. As our activities do involve contact with apparatus, bruising, bumps and friction burns may occur. Every effort will be made to minimise these risks by ensuring adequate warm ups and cool downs and by continuously monitoring participants throughout the sessions.

 

By participating in our sessions, you fully acknowledge that you are participating in this physical activities entirely at your own risk, and you confirm you are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and have notified your instructor of any current or past injuries, aches, pains or medical conditions, including pregnancy, prior to participation. You agree to take care and listen to your instructor carefully, and not try anything the instructor has not shown you and will be sure to ask if there is anything you are unsure of/ uncomfortable doing. 

 

As our classes are of a physical nature, it is recommended that before participating in ANY physical activity you should consult your doctor or other health care professional before starting this or any other fitness program to determine if it is right for your needs. This is particularly true if you (or your family) have a history of high blood pressure, heart disease, or if you have ever experienced chest pain when exercising or have experienced chest pain in the past month when not engaged in physical activity; or if you smoke, have high cholesterol, are obese, or have a bone, joint of muscular issue/ ache/ pain or injury that could be made worse by a change in physical activity. Do not start this fitness program if your physician or health care provider advises against it.

 

If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately and notify your instructor. You must also notify the instructor and seek advice from your doctor should you have ANY changes to your health or wellbeing.

IMPORTANT : When participating in any exercise or exercise program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in this exercise or exercise program, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release and discharge AJfitness PT&Pole. from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown and voluntarily give up any right to claim in a legal capacity against the instructor taking the session for negligence, personal injury or property damage or loss.

 

POLE Class participation

Pole techniques involve skin contact with metal, and related bumps and bruises will likely occur. If you are allergic to chrome/nickel please let your instructor know.

 

You must not moisturise on the day of your pole class, this is for your safety as it impacts your grip as well as the grip of other class members.

 

Please note that for your safety and the safety of others, only moves, tricks and activities taught to you by the instructor are acceptable to practice in class, under no circumstances should you deviate from this, nor should you instruct or attempt to teach to other students, students that do this may be asked to leave without reimbursement of their session or remaining sessions.

 

Pole is a physically demanding and challenging activity for this reason it is strongly advised that you wait for the instructor to explain, demonstrate and then spot you, before you attempting a new trick.

 

Students are encouraged to keep each other safe, by highlighting to an instructor any areas of concern or if they see anything that does not meet our high standards of safety or comply with our members oath, however teaching is down to the instructor. Students must not attempt anything they have not been shown or anything they do not feel confident or safe in. Students must not, under any circumstances try to teach other students, or spot other students at any time. 

Please only attempt tricks that have been demonstrated to you by your instructor and that your instructor has given you the go ahead to do. THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. If there is anything you do not feel safe doing or anything you are unsure of, please speak with your instructor.

Personal Data

Your personal details are strictly confidential and will not be shared. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire, ahead of your class this will be available at each class should your instructor need to refer to it.

 

Health & Fitness

Prior to undertaking your first class you will need to complete a health form and notify your instructor of any injuries or medial conditions.

If your health condition changes you must inform your instructor immediately and if you are unsure as to whether our offering is right for you, please first consult your doctor and discuss any concerns with our instructors prior to booking.

 

If you are pregnant or planning, please consult with an instructor prior to booking. Equally if you have recently had a baby please seek guidance from your instructor or contact us at info@ajfitness.co.uk before making a booking.

Bookings

All classes, packages, courses, memberships, 121 sessions and gift vouchers must be pre-booked and pre-paid via the goteamup booking system.

All classes, courses and memberships etc must be used as detailed in the terms and as detailed on the pre-booking information & all sessions must be used within the given period. Failure to do so will result in the sessions being lost, without refund or exchange.

All 121 sessions, taster classes, gift vouchers and PTs /Group PTs must be pre booked and prepaid and used within the given time period (6 weeks from payment date) (and 8 to 12 weeks from payment for PT packages, dependent on the package).

Any unused sessions after this time will expire and will not be credited or refunded for any reason.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be made via the goteamup booking system by unregistering for the class or session. 48 hrs notice must be given to re-schedule your session. Note make up sessions are subject to space and must be used within the given time period (see pre-booking information for terms).

Cancellations given less than the stated 48hrs notice via team up, will be lost. This applies even if you have booked with under 12 hours before your class or session. There are not exceptions to this, regardless of the circumstances.

If you do not cancel your class or session, or fail to turn up, the session will still be charged and and no make up session given. Students who do not attend due to illness, injury, pregnancy, personal or professional commitments or unforeseen circumstances without providing the stated notice, do not have the right to refunds, credits or transfers.

If you are unsure of the required notice period, please contact AJfitness prior to booking your sessions/ courses.

Guest and In-House Workshops, photoshoots, taster sessions & events

Reservations for workshops, photoshoots, events and/or taster sessions are non-refunded and are non-transferable. If after reserving your spot you choose not to continue with your space, you will not qualify for a refund or transfer, even if the space is later filled. 

Lateness

Please arrive on time for you class. The warm up is the most important part of the class to prepare your muscles and body for training. It is appreciated that sometimes work/traffic can cause delays, if you are late or regularly late to class, you will be turned away from class and your session will be lost. THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY & TO PREVENT INJURY.

Photos, videos, marketing and social media

Photos may be taken and used by AJfitness PT&Pole if you have any concerns with this, please notify your instructor immediately and clearly note this on your new customer form. For your safety, this form will be accessable by your instructor, for as long as you are considered a regular AJfitness member, after this point, these forms will be archived.
