WE ARE FINALLY RE-OPENING!!!!
We are super excited to announce that our doors will FINALLY be re-opening!
This time at the new venue of Shoshana Burns School of Dance (SBSD) - The Cannon, Thirsk Rd, Borehamwood WD6 5AY
Lots of careful planning, risk assessing and consideration has gone in to how we can open in the safest possible way for our members - and after 2 false starts, and five new poles later, we are finally there.
Note classes will all be performed with strict social distancing in place. There will be no spotting (unless for safety). Classes will opporate at 2 to a pole, where social distancing can be maintained. If you are concerned about sharing, please contact Amanda prior to booking. 121s and group sessions can be booked outside of class times, for details, please contact Amanda.
Unfortunately, at this time all aerial classes are still on hold. As soon as we are able to run these again, we will let you know.
All memberships will be suspended and classes will be run on a pay as you go basis, once our full timetable is back up and running, this will be re-visited.
As before all classes are strictly pre-book & pre-pay only. And strictly non refundable and non transferable. If you are unable to attend, please do not book on, we have been closed for 6 months so are not able to be flexible with this rule at present.
To reduce class cross over, there will be time in between classes to allow class 1 to leave prior to class 2 arriving. This will also allow for floors, equipment and touch points to be cleaned between classes.
Entry and exit - To reduce touch points and control numbers in and out of the hall, the main doors will be out of use for our members. Students will be collected from the car park, when the class is ready to start and will enter via the side door. Please maintain social distancing at all times, especially before and after class. Entry and exit will be manned by your instructor. Please be on time & please do not turn up super early or late.
What you will need - Students will be asked to attend 'class ready' armed with water bottles, grip aid, hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, face mask & fresh clean socks (for use in pole area only). For stretch classes you will be asked to bring your own (clean) yoga mat for use during the class.
Masks - We do ask that you wear a mask when entering and exiting the facility, when in communal areas, when cleaning your equipment and if requested when being spotted. You are not required to wear a mask whilst participating in the class, however, if you would prefer to do so, we fully support your choice to do so. Please be mindful that masks can make exercise more difficult, so increase your rest time between moves.
Spotting - Whilst our lessons will be planned to eliminate the need for physical spotting, your instructor may still spot you, without notice, if there is a risk to your safety. If there is a need for close contact spotting, both you and your instructor will speak about this first, but in this case, it is advisable for both instructor and student to wear a mask. If you would prefer not to do so please let your instructor know.
Ways to keep you safe - Before during and after classes we ask that everyone keeps to strict social distancing rules. This means 2m between individuals at all times. Current government track & trace guidance (which is subject to change) asks that where an individual tests positive for COVID anyone who has been less than 2m of that person for 15mins or over, must self isolate for 14 days. We will therefore be asking everyone, to help keep each other safe, by maintaining a social distance of 2m or over as much as possible.
Track & Trace - If you develop COVID symptoms or test positive for COVID within 14 days of attending a class, please let us know. We will take every step to continue to keep our space COVID secure and will notify class attendees should anyone within the same class report symptoms.
YOU MUST NOT COME TO CLASS - If you are feeling unwell, if you have developed symptoms, if you have been told to isolate or if anyone in your household has tested positive. Or if you have returned from overseas and government guidance advises you to to do so.
121s and group privates - 121s will continue to run from the Welwyn hub for personal training, pole, hoop and aerial at the lockdown rate of £30 until further notice. 121s in Borehamwood will now start back up, these are at the normal price of £45.
